Viking Fiberglass Pools - Differences & Advantages

Pool Designs Inc. choose Viking Fiberglass Pools and we invite you to compare the differences in features and quality between our pools and others on the market. A dedication to excellence for more than twenty years has made the difference between Viking Pools and others.

The inside finish of a Viking Fiberglass Pool is a smooth gel-coat finish which prevents skin abrasions commonly experienced through contact with the abrasive surface of concrete pools.
The non-porous nature of the smooth gel-coat finish resists the problem of algae infestation, a common and costly condition readily found in many concrete pools.

Viking Fiberglass Pools are made in a controlled environment, supervised by expert engineers, ensuring the style and the quality expected from Viking Pools. In contrast, concrete pools are constructed outdoors and are subject to the elements. A concrete pool's design and construction are dependent on interpretation of builders and subcontractors all of varying degrees of skill and experience.

Concrete pools must be drained periodically for painting, acid washing, and replastering, which causes a serious possibility of the pool popping up and generates significant costs. This is an unnecessary risk.

Consider the claim that concrete is stronger than fiberglass. The technology of today's fiberglass products and construction techniques are incorporated into boats, aircrafts, and Viking Pools, resulting in a stronger pool.  More importantly, the flexural strength of a Viking Pool can with stand earth movement without cracking, a tremendous advantage over concrete. That is how Viking Pools can be guaranteed against natural disasters, such as earthquakes.
